چکیده
The steam reforming of ethanol, methanol, and other oxygenates (e.g., bio-oil olive mill wastewater) using Ni-based catalysts have been studied by the scientific community in last few years. This process is already well over years, being critical point, at this moment, choice a suitable catalyst. utilization these for production “green” H2 an interesting alternative to fuel fossils. For application, extensively since they are highly active cheaper than noble metal-based materials. In review, comparison several reported literature different above-mentioned reactions carried out. study aims understand if such demonstrate enough catalytic activity/stability application oxygenated compounds which preparation methods most adequate obtain summary, it provide insights into performances reached point out best way get better improved applications (which depends on feedstock used).

Hydrogen production via steam reforming of LPG on Ni/Zeolite catalysts
Steam reforming is one of the most important processes for producing hydrogen from hydrocarbon fuels such as LPG and has attracted much attention due to its high efficiency and economy. In this study, the LPG steam reforming reaction was investigated on nickel catalysts supported on four various zeolites (H-Y, Na-Y, HZSM5 and Ferrierite). The catalytic tests were performed in a tubular fixed be...
متن کاملPropene versus propane steam reforming for hydrogen production over Pd-based and Ni-based catalysts
Experiments of propane and propene steam reforming have been performed over a Pd–Cu/c-Al2O3 catalyst and over a Ni/NiAl2O4 catalyst. Over the palladium-based catalyst, the steam reforming of propene is faster and more selective than steam reforming of propane. Over the Pd catalyst, the steam reforming of propane is likely inhibited by site poisoning. In contrast, over Ni-based catalyst the refo...
متن کاملCatalytic Steam Reforming of Toluene as a Model Compound of Biomass Gasification Tar Using Ni-CeO2/SBA-15 Catalysts
Nickel supported on SBA-15 doped with CeO2 catalysts (Ni-CeO2/SBA-15) was prepared, and used for steam reforming of toluene which was selected as a model compound of biomass gasification tar. A fixed-bed lab-scale set was designed and employed to evaluate the catalytic performances of the Ni-CeO2/SBA-15 catalysts. Experiments were performed to reveal the effects of several factors on the toluen...
متن کاملRenewable alkanes by aqueous-phase reforming of biomass-derived oxygenates.
A clean stream of alkanes from renewable biomass resources is obtained through aqueous-phase reforming in a single reactor. Alkanes are produced from biomass-derived sorbitol through a bifunctional pathway (see scheme) that involves the dehydration of sorbitol on acid sites (SiO2/Al2O3) and hydrogenation of intermediates on a metal catalyst under a H2 atmosphere. Hydrogen is produced from sorbi...
متن کاملFe−Ni−MCM-41 Catalysts for Hydrogen-Rich Syngas Production from Waste Plastics by Pyrolysis−Catalytic Steam Reforming
A two-stage pyrolysis−catalytic steam reforming process was used with mesoporous MCM-41 supported iron and nickel bimetallic catalysts for hydrogen-rich syngas production from a simulated mixture of waste plastics. Different Fe/Ni weight ratios (00:20, 05:15, 10:10, 05:15, and 20:00) have been investigated to determine the influence on hydrogen production. The results showed that the presence o...
